On Saturday, the 22nd of April, we lead the H.O.G. members on a ride from the Rivergate Harley Shop to the restaurant '5 Chefs' in Portland TN. This is a great place for a good old meal and you can then shop in their gift shop next door.
Although Tim had an afternoon of riding planned, however, the group had other plans. So, Tim and I headed to the back roads of Kentucky. A full day of sun shine and quite a lot of wind.
This is the Jefferson Davis monument in Fairview, KY.
We hadn't noticed this before and will have to come back
and revisit this.
I found a lot of barns today. Most of these barns are Tobacco Barns, where they hang the tobacco up and allows it to dry.
More barns of all shapes and sizes.
Many barns have a quilt pattern painted on the end - this barn was a little different - more of a patriotic barn.
Stay tuned for more pictures of our trips this summer.
