It has been nearly two weeks without any measurable precipitation here by the lake. Which means a lot of watering is needed to keep any plants or flowers alive. And all the hard work we have put forth on the lawn is no longer apparent. We are making a feeble attempt to quench the lawn's thirst, however, it just may not be enough.
I continue to water my flowers twice a day. Early morning and early evening seem to be the cooler parts of the day, which is a great time to water these thirsty friends of mine.

The Surprise Flower (aka Lilly) continues to bloom. |
I'm beginning to wonder how many more blooms can one stalk hold. |
This is taken at the entrance to my front door. Gladys Knight (frog) contains a beautiful red Geranium. Katy (the pig) just watches over the neighborhood. My two beautiful blue pots continue to bloom and spread with violet and purple flowers. |
On my front porch I have changed the four cement planters out with Geraniums of different colors. I also have two blooming hanging baskets and two ferns. |
On my back deck I have two hanging containers with differing flowers and even some Basil growing. |
And on the garden side. . .
My cherry tomatoes are taking off! |
In the background are my Peas, climbing a small wire fence. And in the bottom front are Radishes and next to them Beans. |
Next project . . .

Well, we continue to move on and around the yard. We have a second subdivision sign opposite the large sign . We have begun to make changes to this area also. So far, we have had a couple loads of dirt brought in. Tim wanted a 'mound' effect here. Next will come a piece of driftwood and then more flowers. |
Well, sure hope you enjoyed this walk around my yard. I really did enjoy showing it to you.
